Two Kitchens, One Family Table
Masa Luna opened its doors in Sterling to give the community a place where Salvadoran and Mexican home cooking share the same menu — pupusas next to fajitas, tamales next to tacos, all made the way they're made at home.
A Small Kitchen, A Big Menu
From the outside, Masa Luna is easy to miss — a small storefront tucked next to a corner market on E Holly Ave. Inside, the kitchen turns out one of the widest Salvadoran & Mexican menus in the area: hand-pressed pupusas, tamales wrapped fresh each morning, soups that simmer for hours, and a full lineup of tacos, fajitas, and grilled plates.
The restaurant also runs as a panadería, so the smell of fresh bread and pan dulce often mixes with the smoke from the comal.
Generous Portions, Fair Prices
Masa Luna is known for serving big plates at prices that keep regulars coming back — whether it's a quick breakfast before work, a bowl of sopa de gallina on a cold day, or a family dinner of fajitas and pupusas to share.
It's a lively, no-frills dining room: expect the comal going, a TV playing in the background, and a menu written in both Spanish and English so everyone at the table finds something familiar.
